I have the privilege to be the pastor of HMCC of Jakarta, an international church in the Jakarta metropolitan area. My family and I moved to Indonesia in June 2010 to be a part of the church plant and now we are happy to call this great city our home.
I have been married to the love of my life, Nickey, since December 2006. We are the proud parents of Emanuel (born July ’08), Evangeline (Nov ’10), and Ezra (Nov ’12).
I was born and raised in the city of Chicago (United States), the son of Korean immigrants. I have studied at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (B.S. Industrial Engineering, ’98), the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (M.S. Industrial & Operations Engineering, ’99), and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M.Div., ’07).
I served as an associate pastor at HMCC of Ann Arbor for seven years before moving to Indonesia. It was there that I learned the ropes of ministry, courted my wife, and forged some awesome friendships.
I love serving Jesus Christ’s church as a pastor, empowering His people to live for the glory of God all over the world!
